SDEF India Scholarship 2026-27
The SDEF India Scholarship Program 2026–27, offered by the Swami Dayanand Education Foundation (SDEF), is a merit-cum-means scholarship for eligible first-year students enrolled in selected professional undergraduate courses in India, such as B.Tech./B.E., MBBS, BDS, and B.Arch. Selected students can receive financial support of up to ₹50,000 per academic year, with the possibility of renewal for up to four years, subject to meeting the scholarship’s eligibility requirements and maintaining satisfactory academic performance. Applicants must also fulfil the prescribed academic and entrance examination criteria for their respective courses. The programme aims to reduce financial barriers and help deserving students pursue higher education.
Eligibility Criteria
- Students pursuing first year of a full-time professional undergraduate degree programme in India for the 2026-27 academic year.
- Applicants must have secured at least 80% marks, or an equivalent CGPA, in Class 12, unless a different course/category-specific threshold is stated in the selection table below.
- Total annual family income from all sources must not exceed INR 12,00,000.
The scholarship is open to the following professional undergraduate programmes:
- Engineering & Technology: B.Tech./B.E.
- Medicine: MBBS
- Dentistry: BDS
- Architecture: B.Arch.

Benefits
- Scholarship support of up to INR 50,000 per academic year towards approved educational expenses, with total scholarship support extending up to INR 2,00,000 across four academic years.

- Proof of residence
- Three photographs of the applicant’s residence, including inside/outside views as requested in the application
Agricultural land documents, if applicable - Education loan documents, if applicable
- Income Tax Return (ITR), salary slip/salary certificate, pension proof or other financial documents, if applicable or requested by SDEF
