Vigyan Jyoti Scheme
The Indian government offers female STEM students the Vigyan Jyoti Scheme. In order to encourage girls to pursue careers in underrepresented STEM fields, the program envisions hand-holding and interventions starting in Class IX and continuing through the PhD level. The chosen applicants will get ₹2,000 a month.
Eligibility Criteria
- Female student
- Female students pursuing studies from class 9 to the postgraduate level
- Female students pursuing their studies in any of the STEM fields
Benefit
- Selected candidates will receive ₹2,000 per month.
Documents
- Recent passport-sized photograph
- Applicants` proof of identity (PAN, Aadhaar, Driving License, Voter`s ID, etc.)
- Current admission proof (Admission Letter, ID Card, fee receipt)
- Mark sheet of the previous class/semester
- Caste Certificate (if applicable)
- Document proof of the parent as a mechanic
- Bank passbook
